R. Bakker (Rob)

I am interested in the development of synthetic catalysts which are able to activate small molecules. My project revolves around (di)oxygen activation using homogeneous metal-organic catalysts. In my project, I incorporate primary and secondary coordination sphere effects to control the stability and reactivity of metal-oxygen intermediates. By this approach, I aim to achieve control over the mechanism to which these species operate.
