I.F. Beenakker MSc (Ivo)

Ivo Beenakker's research focuses on the micro-level processes of strategic long-term decision making in sustainability transitions. On a local level, he studies the goal frames and alignment strategies of actors during the implementation of a territorial foresight. On a regional level, Ivo examines the expectations, motivations and commitment of actors in a governance network affiliated with the energy transition. His research interests also encompass the Dutch energy transition and realistic games facilitating sustainability transitions. Ivo combines qualitative and quantitative research methods including case study research, interviews, participatory observation, document analysis, literature review, survey research and gaming. Ivo is affiliated with the Nijmegen School of Management, Radboud University.
