Femke is Assistant Professor at the Methods group of Business Administration at the Nijmegen School of Management. She received her PhD from Delft University of Technology in 2019, with a dissertation on understanding and supporting complex decision-making by using game concepts. The research took place in the context of the Dutch railway sector.
Currently, her research continues in the area of complex decision-making and the use of formal methods to understand and support the process of decision-making. Particularly, she focuses on the application of such methods to assist decision-making processes in large organisations. The interdisciplinary nature in the form of bridging between formal theories and methods and applications in real-world situations is what drives her research. She is a member of Radboud Young academy (since 2022), and an active member of Radboud Interfaculty Complexity Hub (RICH).
