S.G.A. Borsboom (Silvester)

I am part of the mathematical physics group in the mathematics department, but I spend a considerable amount of my time at the Radboud Center for Natural Philosophy, where I conduct research on the mathematical and philosophical foundations of physics. My PhD research concerns the thermodynamics of black holes, and I am also very interested in gauge theory (both Yang–Mills and gravity) and the broader theme of natural philosophy. In general, my goal is to completely ignore and transcend the traditional boundaries between theoretical physics, mathematical physics, and the philosophy of physics.
