Lucas Brunet examines contemporary transformations in research to address pressing social and environmental issues. His interdisciplinary work merges the political legacy of Science and Technology Studies (STS) with environmental sociology and the sociology of emotions.
Lucas has explored innovative environmental knowledge and politics, promising to provide new solutions to conserve nature in the Anthropocene. His investigations have also extended to the governance of European research and the evolution of evaluation processes for research funding.
Before joining Radboud University, Lucas earned his PhD at INRAE in France, and worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Politics of Space and the Environment research group at Tampere University, in Finland, and in the Department of Science, Technology and Society, at the Technical University of Munich, in Germany.
