Dr E.W.J. van Dijk (Edwin)

Edwin van Dijk studied law at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and obtained his PhD in 2023 at Radboud University with a dissertation on legal professional ethics. In his dissertation, he explored the concept of aspirational morality in the introduction of the Dutch Bar Association's Code of Conduct. For the course "Ethics and the Legal Profession," he gives lectures on 'the meaning of core values' and ‘lawyers and ethics.' His academic interest focuses on the philosophical foundations of professional ethics in the legal profession.

Furthermore, Edwin van Dijk works as a lawyer specializing in construction and procurement law. He also regularly teaches in this field, both to practitioners in the construction industry and to legal professionals, including for the Instituut voor Bouwrecht (Institute for Construction Law). He frequently publishes on construction and procurement law, often in the Tijdschrift voor Bouwrecht (Journal of Construction Law).
