I study the relation between AI and human cognition, drawing from my PhD research on the neurocognitive processes supporting self-identification of humans with their avatars.

My current research is along three lines:

* Developing a novel theoretical framework to understand the human self and its AI counterparts.

* Developing a pragmatic and science based framework for organizations to assess their EU AI Act compliance.

* Developing a pragmatic and science based approach for organizations to enhance their AI security and privacy.
