Wiek van Gemert is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Parliamentary History at the Radboud University. His research focuses on the ability of Dutch politics to learn from history, using the parliamentary enquiries since the 1980s.
Previously, Wiek van Gemert conducted research on the history of the provincial government of Groningen and on the rise of neoliberalism in the Dutch labour party.
