Prof. N. de Groot (Nicolo)

Prof. Nicolo de Groot is an expert on elementary particle physics. He is engaged in the quest for the Higgs particle and supersymmetry, and conducts high-energy experiments at large accelerator laboratories such as CERN in Geneva. Before he came to Nijmegen, he was working on precision measurements at the SLAC laboratory in Stanford, California. De Groot specializes in the detection of heavy quarks (b and c) using semi-conductor detectors.
