Prof. W.T. de Groot (Wouter)

Prof. Wouter de Groot specializes in the relations between society and land use, rivers and nature, in the Netherlands as well as in developing countries. Special attention is paid to the different views on our relationship with Nature and to the methods for joint planning. An example of the latter is the EU project called 'Freude am Fluss', in which the focus is not on the fear of floods, but on the opportunities that the river landscape offers.
