Bas van Heerwaarden is a Ph.D. candidate and junior lecturer at the Department of Business Administration at Radboud University. He earned his Master's degree in Business Administration (cum laude) in the Marketing and International Business specializations at Radboud University. After graduating he worked as a consultant in the area of international development, advising non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the Middle East and North Africa region on the effectiveness of their aid programs.
Bas is involved with teaching multiple courses in the bachelor's program of Business Administration and the master's program of International Business. His dissertation research centers around multinational enterprises (MNEs) and how these firms can contribute to solving societal grand challenges through corporate social innovation (CSI). In his research, he focuses on the multifaceted challenges that MNEs face in engaging with CSI, as well as the dual economic and social value that they create.
