Bas van Heerwaarden is a Ph.D. candidate and junior lecturer in the Department of Business Administration at Radboud University. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration with specializations in Marketing and International Business (both awarded cum laude) from Radboud University. Prior to his doctoral studies, Bas worked as a consultant for various non-governmental organizations operating in the Middle East and North Africa, including UNICEF, Global Communities, and the Danish Refugee Council.
His dissertation research focuses on the role of multinational enterprises in addressing societal grand challenges through corporate social innovation. Specifically, he examines the complex barriers that multinationals encounter when engaging with social innovations, as well as the dual economic and social value that these initiatives create. In addition to his research, Bas contributes to teaching several courses in the Bachelor's program of Business Administration and the Master's program in International Business.
