My research focuses on quantifying human impacts on biodiversity. I want to explore which intrinsic and external factors drive species and populations to extinction. This type of information will help to provide important input for decision-making necessary to protect wildlife. I employ a modelling approach in which I in general try to integrate allometric relationships and pressure-response relationships in population viability analysis.
Besides doing research in the fields of ecology and biodiversity assessment, as a research engineer at the department of Environmental Science, I contribute to the teaching of the department and I assist the research activities carried out at the department in terms of data management and analysis.
