Dr. Nathalie Hoekstra currently works as a postdoctoral researcher in the Behavioural Science Institute. She works on a longitudinal project that examines how children think about and react to being (un)popular and how this shapes their behavior toward classmates.
She obtained her PhD in 2025 with a dissertation on the role of teachers in classroom social dynamics in elementary school.
