Prof. Bart Jacobs has a broad interest in computer security and in the assoicated societal issues. Is expertise concerns chipcards, and especially their use in privacy-friendly scenarios. He is most known for his group's work on the national chipcard for public transport in the Netherlands, and for his membership of the committee Korthals Altes that advised on the future of voting in the Netherlancs.
