My PhD-research focuses on the economic philosophy of the American pragmatist philosopher John Dewey (1859-1952). I research the development of his economic philosophy during the Great Depression in the United States (1929-1939), and the interrelation of Dewey's economic thought with his philosophy of democracy, philosophy of education, and aesthetic philosophy. This research is supervised by Prof. Carla Rita Palmerino (FFTR) and Dr. Max Visser (FdM).
