Performing lab work consisting of sorting and identification of arthropods gathered from traps in the field on behalf of several research projects.
- 2019 - 2020 Assistance to PhD student Nick Hofland, sorting and counting contents from his Emergence traps to size and main Arthropod groups. And later on identifying some of his beetles (Coleoptera) from his bird diet experiments.
- 2020 - 2020 Sorting, identifying and counting two predatory beetle families, ground beetles (Carabidae) and rove beetles (Staphylinidae), within the project Soil Life in Gelderland on behalf of prof. Henk Siepel.
- 2020 - 2025 Gathering microarthropods (mainly mites (Acari) and springtails (Collembola)) from soils samples via Tullgren funnels and transfering these microarthropods to microslides for further identification later on on behalf of two reserach projects: 1. that of PhD student Elke Wenting (WUR), studying the effects of nutrients from stag and deer carcasses seeping into the soil at Veluwezoom. 2. assisting Prof. Henk Siepel within his part of the Rock Dust project at National Park De Hoge Veluwe.
