Peraphan Jittrapirom is a senior research fellow at Nijmegen School of Management, Radboud University, and an executive director of the Global Carbon Project (GCP), Tsukuba office. He has a background in Civil Engineering (MEng University of Bristol, UK) and previously worked with leading engineering consultants in the UK as a highway and traffic engineer before obtaining his Ph.D. in Sustainable Transport Planning from TU-Vienna.

His current research focuses on how a participatory approach can support a transition toward a sustainable transport system. He is experienced in qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as System Dynamics modeling, Group Model Building, and Focus Group, and has worked on several research projects related to urban land use-transport interaction, urban flood resilience, decarbonization of the urban transport system, and urban carsharing system.
