Prof. J.H.T. Joosten (Jos)

Prof Jos Joosten's areas of specialization are:
the post-war Flemish avantgarde (Hugo Claus, Louis-Paul Boon);
literary criticism in the Netherlands and Flanders;
contemporary Dutch literature.

Joosten is the author of Feit en tussenkomst (Fact and Intervention), the standard work on post-war Flemish writers (Vijftigers). Together with Thomas Vaessens, he published Postmoderne poëzie in Nederland en Vlaanderen, een onderzoek naar de 'literaire avant-garde van nu' (Post-modern Poetry in the Netherlands and Flanders, a Study on the 'Literary Avantgarde of Today'). Onttachtiging: essays over eigentijdse poëzie en poëziekritiek (Essays on Contemporary Poetry and Poetry Criticism).
