Lisa Kampen (1995) studied philosophy at the University of Amsterdam, stage production at the Amsterdam University of Arts and obtained a Research Master's degree in the history of philosophy at Radboud University, where she now works as a PhD candidate. Her research focuses on self and subjectivity in the early twentieth-century formation of psychology as a discipline distinct from philosophy. She engages with historical texts from this period and explores their ongoing relevance for contemporary psychology and philosophy of mind. Her four-year research project, funded by the Dutch Research Council, investigates these themes through the lens of Mary Whiton Calkins's (1863–1930) self-psychology and absolute personalism.
