Eva Keulen (2000) is a Dutch language and literature scholar. In December 2025, she started her PhD within the project ‘Lenzen op leescultuur’ (‘Lenses on reading culture’). Keulen examines the reading culture and reading policy at forty-five secondary schools in the Netherlands, focusing on (a) how teachers, support staff and school management promote reading and their attitudes towards it, (b) how students experience such reading promotion initiatives, (c) the expectations of parents/guardians regarding reading promotion and reading policy, and (d) best practices of language coordinators and other stakeholders involved in reading promotion and reading policy. The aim of the project is to gain more insight into the reading culture at Dutch secondary schools, to work towards a strong, school-wide reading policy.
