Emilia J. Klebanowski is a PhD Candidate at the International and European Law Department and the Research Centre for State and Law (SteR). Her PhD project deals with the accountability for gross human rights violations in complex situations. She is particularly interested in the interaction between international, regional, and national legal orders. In her teaching, Emilia mostly focuses on international law and human rights law.
Before working at Radboud University, Emilia worked as a lecturer in International and European Law at Maastricht University. She obtained her LLM (summa cum laude) in Globalisation and Law, specialization in Human Rights Law in 2022. In her LLM thesis, she focused on the distortion of international humanitarian law by international criminal courts. During her studies, she also interned at the NWO-funded research project on Children's Rights in unrecognized States.
