Kiane de Kleijne is a PhD student at the department of Environmental Science, Faculty of Science. After her master in Physics, she now researches the environmental impacts and technological maturity of technologies that could be implemented to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in industry. Examples are CO2 capture and utilisation technologies and green hydrogen. She also contributed (as chapter scientist and contributing author) to the IPCC Special Report on global warming of1.5C, published in 2018, and the IPCC report on mitigation of climate change published in 2022.
