Eva Koch is currently a lecturer at the department for Language and Communication.
In the past, she studied French, Spanish and German linguistics and literature at the KU Leuven, followed by a specialization in experimental psycholinguistics at the Radboud University. Thereafter, she became a PhD candidate at the VUB under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Alex Housen and Dr. Aline Godfroid. Her research investigated the acquisition and processing of difficult morphosyntactic features in a second language, incorporating learning experiments and eye-tracking. She temporarily joined the scientific team of the Centrum voor Taal en Onderwijs (KU Leuven) to help develop KOALA, a Dutch language screening for kindergarteners.
