S.A. Koenen (Stella)

My research is part of the REDRESS NWA project (Revitalized Democracy for Resilient Societies). The aim of this project is to gain insight into the way hybrid forms of democratic innovations (e.g referendums or mini-publics) can effectively supplement representative democracy. My research focusses on the effects participation in these hybrid innovations has on the participants. This research is carried out using lab- and survey-experiments.
