Dr L.J. Kubeneck (Joëlle)

I am an environmental geochemist with a PhD in soil chemistry and a MSc in marine sciences. My research focuses on how iron mineral transformations in sediments and soils impact associated elemental cycles such as carbon, phosphorus and sulphur. For my work, I like to combine field experiments with laboratory studies. In order to detect the mineral transformations in a complex sediment matrix, I like to use spectroscopy (Mössbauer and X-ray absorption).
