Gerard Kuperus is researcher Integral Ecology in the Dutch Context at the Laudato Si' Institute. His background is Continental Philosophy and comparative philosophy (specifically Zen Buddhism and Indigenous thinking). His most recent monograph is Ecopolitics, Redefining the Polis (SUNY, 2023) in he analyses non-human political structures.
At the Laudato Si' Institute he works on a project on water in the Netherlands, focusing on how humans transition from masters and stewards to collaborators with the forces of nature.
