Prof. André Lardinois specializes in early Greek poetry and classical drama. He has published works on Greek poets such as Homer, Hesiod, Sappho and Sophocles. His current studies are focused on the interpretation of early Greek lyric poetry. He is also a connoisseur of Greek religion and mythology. In his teaching and research, he likes to stress the unique insight into human nature provided by classical literature.
