Prof. S.A.C.M. Lavrijssen (Saskia)

As Dean of the Nijmegen School of Management and Professor of Governance of Responsible Energy Transitions, Saskia Lavrijssen is committed to a safe, inspiring, diverse and inclusive environment and culture at Nijmegen School of Management and beyond.

Saskia Lavrijssen promotes and facilitates innovative education and high-quality research that contributes to the responsible governance of sustainable societies. She strives to
bridge the gap between academic research and practical applications of scientific insights.

Prior to her current positions, Lavrijssen held the position of Professor of Economic Regulation and Market Governance of Network Industries at Tilburg University. She was also head of the Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology and Society and played a key role in leading the Energy and Climate community at the university.

In addition to her academic efforts, Lavrijssen has been able to secure and complete interdisciplinary research projects, demonstrating her ability to drive impactful research initiatives. Her involvement in programs such as NWO's Next Generation Infrastructure Programme and the Megamind project demonstrates her commitment to advancing scientific knowledge in her field.

Saskia Lavrijssen is also an experienced supervisory board member.
