As an art historian (iconologist), heritage specialist and religious studies scholar, I am well acquainted with the complexity of preserving and presenting cultural heritage and individual historical artifacts. For example, I was involved in the creation of RemDoc, a digital infrastructure to unlock the source material on Rembrandt and his art. My PhD research, which I defended in 2018, is devoted to Dutch portraits in the guise of Biblical figures. I am also co-author of "Rembrandt: The Complete Paintings" XXL (2019). I publish on both early modern and contemporary art.
