I. Marquina Luévano (Ilenia)

Ilenia Marquina Luévano is a PhD candidate at the Aquatic Ecology and Environmental Biology department. Her research aims to assess the effect of bioturbator traits from different key species on methane pathways of emissions (particularly ebullition) and microbial process rates using state-of-the-art techniques in combination with field measurements. The outcome of her research can be used for climate-smart restoration and conservation projects that involve the improvement of carbon sequestration and subsequent mitigation of greenhouse gases.
