In my research, I aim to explain the role of culture and institutions in economic development, and analyze the process of globalization through assessing the internationalization decisions of multinationals in response to cultural and institutional differences. These interests stem from my ambition to understand the deeper causes of economic development, and an interest in the effects of cultural and institutional diversity on cooperation and exchange. I combine a knowledge of the literature on institutional perspectives on development and the international business literature on managerial responses to cultural and institutional diversity.
