Dr Killian J. McCarthy is a Professor of Strategy at Radboud University; a university which ranks in the top 150 universities globally, and in the top 50 in Europe.

Killian’s research focuses on the effect of corporate tools -- such as corporate venture capital, strategic alliances, divestitures and, especially, mergers and acquisitions -- on the firm’s financial and innovation performance. He has studied the performance of more than 500,000 acquisitions, mostly in high-tech sectors, such as pharmaceuticals. He is also interested, however, in public policy topics like tax competition and money laundering. His work has been published in top scientific journals such as Research Policy and Long Range Planning and in high visibility journals like Harvard Business Review.

Killian is currently a member of the FINDER Project team – a €1.2 million EU-financed Horizon2020 project aimed at stimulating innovation in the FinTech industry – and an Adjunct Professor at the Kyiv School of Economics.
