Alphée C.S. Mpassi obtained a PhD in philosophy from Radboud University, Nijmegen, The Netherlands with a dissertation on the relevance of the interplay between economy, happiness and ethics in Agamben's account of biopolitics. Alphée is now working as a Postdoc and an associate researcher at the Centre for History of Philosophy and Science at Radboud University. His main fields of interest are biopolitics and environmental philosophy. His postdoc research seeks to work out the theoretical and conceptual overlaps between the biopolitics, the Vatican’s current environmental thought and African philosophy on the relation between humans and the environment.
