My expertise involves the analysis of reaction times of lexical decision data. Utilizing computational models of cognitive processes, I strive to get insight into the structure of the mental lexicon. A particular focus of my research lies on the questions, how the activation of a word changes as the acoustic signal of the word unfolds, and to what extent this process is modulated by the word's semantic, morphological, and acoustic distributional properties. I am experienced in working with big databases such as the Dutch Biggest Auditory Lexical Decision Experiment Yet (BALDEY) database, the English Massive Auditory Lexical Decision (MALD) database, and the Dutch Lexicon Project (DLP).
