Chris Nijhuis is a lecturer at the Department of Political Science. His research focuses on the impact of populist parties on the foreign policy of states, with a special focus on the link between national identity and foreign policy. He is an expert on American politics.
He teaches and coordinates the American Politics & Elections and Academic Skills courses. He co-lectures in the International Organisations, International Relations in the Indo-Pacific, Global Governance and its Challenges, and Comparative Foreign Policy Analysis courses.
