I am interested in behavioral effects of data-driven communication, with an emphasis on the privacy-invasive nature of data collection technologies. I examine effects of contemporary data-collection practices on the individual, including perceptions and acceptance of (invasive) data-collection practices, decision-making about the adoption of privacy invasive technologies, and the responsible psychological mechanisms of such decisions, such as privacy cynicism, perceived ownership and perceived surveillance.
