Mechanochemical reactions present a promising alternative to traditional solvent-based processes. By harnessing mechanical force to drive chemical transformations, these reactions may eliminate the need for solvents, significantly reducing waste, greenhouse gas emissions, pollution, and energy consumption, all while lowering production costs.
With a background in synthetic organic chemistry, I focus on identifying, evaluating, and optimizing solvent-free mechanochemical reactions. My main goal is to contribute to the development of greener, more practical, and cost-effective chemical processes. Currently, my research includes projects focused on the sustainable production of active pharmaceutical ingredients.
My other interests include the application of flow chemistry in chemical synthesis and manufacturing processes.
