• 2017 - Main applicant for a competitive travel-grant from the German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst DAAD) to visit the 17th Biennial EARLI Conference, Tampere, Finland (± 1000 euro; finished)
• 2018 - Co-applicant for an interdisciplinary research grant from the Dutch Research Council for Education (NRO) on the influence of sense-making of school governance in school development programs. Analyses include Document Analysis, Narrative Analysis, Network Analysis, and Structural Equation Modelling.  (± 450.000 euro; ongoing)

• 2018 - 2021 Nature and impact of management relationships: the key to future-oriented education? In this study, we examine the nature of the management relationship between school managers and school leaders and how this relationship affects the development of future-oriented education by teachers. School boards are responsible for guaranteeing the quality of education and for developing future-oriented education. Management and management relationships that contribute to this turn out to be by no means self-evident both theoretically and in practice. The most obvious knowledge gap is the management relationship between the school managers and the school leader. Understanding the nature of this relationship is a necessary link to test the chain between education management and quality of education assumed in policy.
• 2023 - 2025 In this interdisciplinary research grant we investigate how diversity, equity, and inclusion of first-generation students can be increased at Radboud University. Use methods are focus groups, interviews, large-scale survey studies, and participatory action research methods.
