I work as a fundraiser and relationship manager at Radboud University (Radboud Fonds) and I always search for the right match between a researcher with an impactful idea or project and parties who help to realize this idea.

This can be private donors, a foundation, an organisation or a company. And it can also be the other way around; I look for a destination that matches the wishes of a donor.

The personal contact, the search for the right connection and the best way to formalize the donation, makes it a beautiful process to guide.

The crowdfunding 'Help! Make the Surinam slave registers public', which we launched in 2017 together with Coen van Galen, caused an enormous stir in society. Also impressive was the help of so many volunteers who helped to convert the scans of the slave registers into the online database. Read more about his follow-up research. More information
In March 2022, the Radboud TOS Fund was established, a named fund within the Radboud Fund. It is great working together with founder Kino Jansonius on realizing her ideal: the detection and diagnosis of language disorders as early as possible in order to give all children the best possible start in life. Astronomer Mark Klein Wolt wants to set up a whole network of telescopes on the back of the moon, and one on top of a mountain in Namibia. On his initiative and together with a number of (inter)national partners, the AMT (Africa Millimetre Telescope) Fellowship Fund was established. Thanks to the fund, the first phd-candidate started at the University of Namibia. More information
Judith Peters (1991 - 2022) was a promising researcher and writer. Thanks to crowdfunding, she started her research into existential stories and the impact of the loss of a loved one on the life of the bereaved. Her research results and stories of experience can be found in the beautiful book "Ze kwamen nog één keer terug” ("They came back one more time"). To continue her inspiring research, we have established the Judith Peters Fund. More information
Can you make fuel by purifying waste water? Laura van Niftrik, Professor of Microbiology, discovered with her research group that an enzyme is released when you use the annamox bacterium to purify water. The enzyme can be used to make hydrazine. Hydrazine is often used in industry. Learning how to distil this fuel would be groundbreaking and possibly a first step towards more independence on fossil fuels. Read more about this promising research. More information
