I focus on the intersection of welfare, work, and family, with a particular emphasis on informal caregiving. It intrigues me how individuals navigate care relations within the institutional boundaries of contemporary welfare states. I ask myself why and how we care for each other. In my PhD, I am occupied with studying how support in the workplace could enhance the labor participation and well-being of informal caregivers.
My research is grounded in both quantitative and quantitative methods, drawing extensively on the possibility to apply mixed-methods and policy-oriented research. I have strong interest in methodological approaches that capture within-person and institutional change over time. Through my work, I aim to contribute to academic debates on sustainable welfare states in ageing societies, while also informing employers and policymakers about strategies to support working caregivers. My research speaks to broader questions of gender equality, welfare state transformation, and the role of the workplace in shaping social inequalities.
