Ashwin Rambaran is an assistant professor at the Department of Sociology and the research institute Radboud Social Cultural Research at Radboud University. He does fundamental and applied research on social networks and human development and investigates social inequality and diversity in educational settings. His work combines insights from the intersection of culture, context, and psychosocial processes to address developmental challenges and opportunities in social networks that may differentially impact individuals in underrepresented groups. He is involved in a consortium that evaluates students’ experiences and adjustment to college at the University of Michigan that builds off on his Marie-Curie project on social networks and intergroup contact.
