S.L.M. Raqbi (Suzanne)

Suzanne is a marine biologist and biotech engineer with a wide range of research experiences. Her current PhD research focuses on the impact of warming on growth and metabolic rates of Antarctic ectotherms, and on understanding how Antarctic invertebrates compete with potential bioinvaders.

She completed her first master's degree in biotechnology engineering at Sup'Biotech Paris in France. During this degree, she did an internship in scientific communication and a master's thesis at the University of the Antilles in the French West Indies, where she investigated the presence of microbial contaminants from wastewater treatment plants in coral reefs.

In 2023, she graduated magna cum laude from the International Master of Science in Marine Biological Resources (IMBRSea), with a major in marine conservation and restoration. During her second master's thesis at the Technical University of Denmark, she investigated metabolic scaling of fish in French Polynesia.
