David Renjaän is a PhD candidate and lecturer in psychology. He conducts his doctoral research at the Social Development research group of the Behavioural Science Institute.
David's research focuses on the development of emotions, with an emphasis on how people align their own emotions with those of others within various primary relationships. He studies how this emotional coordination manifests in early relationships between parents and children, and how it later appears in other relationships, such as those with romantic partners. Additionally, he focuses on the question of how this process contributes to socio-emotional functioning across the lifespan.
Aside from his research, David is involved as a lecturer in the methods and statistics courses within the bachelor's program in Psychology.
