The brain is constantly predicting what is happening in the world around us. How the brain achieves this and how it represents errors in these predictions is still an open question.

To investigate this, I work on theories and computational models of neural circuits in the brain, which represent predictions and corresponding prediction errors. With these models we aim to gather new insights that we can verify experimentally.
