Iris Romeijnders is a PhD candidate in religious studies. The focus of her research is gendered symbolism in Neo Tantra - specifically it's epistemological, social, spiritual and political implications - and the role of cultural appropriation regarding the use of this symbolism. She has a master’s degree in religious studies, specialising in spiritual care (cum laude), and a master’s degree in art and culture, specialising in philosophy and literature (cum laude).
