In my role supporting the microbiology chair group, I focus on analysing meta-omics data, including metagenomics, 16S and metabolomics data. My approach includes using specialised computational tools and software, programming in R, Python and workflow languages such as Snakemake to integrate these tools. In addition, I contribute to various other tasks within the department, such as data management and maintaining and improving servers.
My academic background includes a master's degree in Food Technology from WUR, where I worked mainly in the laboratory with mass spectrometry. I also obtained a master's degree in Bioinformatics from WUR, where I specialised in the analysis of chemical data, including mass spectrometry and other spectrometric data, such as Raman spectrometry.
