D.M. Seitz (Daniela) MSc

My research is centred around the environmental sustainability of floating solar panels. I study the impacts of this novel renewable energy technology on the surrounding water bodies and aquatic ecosystems. Next to these local impacts, I evaluate the (globally) relevant environmental impacts over the entire value chain of floating solar panels, using life cycle assessment (LCA). The goal is to foster the deployment of green energy technologies that go hand in hand with the preservation of nature and clean water - one of our most valuable resources.
