M.O. Sertel (Muge)

I am a systems and cognitive neuroscientist. My research elucidates the complex interplay of multisensory, motor, and cognitive processes involved in speech production. I employ a diverse array of electrophysiology and neuroimaging techniques, primarily intracranial EEG and fMRI, complemented by psychophysical testing. The aim of my research is to build an innovative model of speech production that explains how sensory feedback is integrated with motor commands to enable fluent articulation and guide therapeutic interventions for individuals with speech impairments.
