As a lecturer and trainer in English academic skills and communication at in'to Languages, I deliver a wide range of courses primarily centred on scientific writing, pronunciation, and presentation skills. My role entails empowering both students and researchers from various academic backgrounds to enhance their communication abilities in an academic setting.

My PhD research investigated individual differences in cognitive abilities and speech performance. I wanted to know what makes some speakers better at certain speech tasks (e.g., tongue twisters) than others. Additionally, I explored the dynamics of speakers’ enriched speech production (e.g., Lombard speech) and the involvement of cognitive abilities in producing such speech. Lastly, I looked at how ageing could influence speakers’ speech motor planning and initiation during speech production.
