I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Chair of International Economics. I am originally trained in finance/financial economics, and I hold an MBA. My current research interests straddle three key themes: (a) technology → economic coordination: this theme encompasses AI, blockchain, decentralized firm structures, DAOs, cryptocurrencies, and several subdomains within FinTech (b) market linkages → predominantly commodities and energy (c) monetary policy → monetary policy intersecting with themes (a) and/or (b) I am currently writing a book on artificial intelligence's impact on the retail investment landscape.
